Where Your Money Goes
We are a small, volunteer-driven organization. There is no marketing department and no executive salaries. Donations fund the work directly:
- Appellate litigation — filing fees, transcripts, and attorney costs for appeals that can change law for every family after
- Court watch — training volunteers and covering the cost of documenting proceedings
- Family support — keeping education, referrals, and pro se mentoring free
- Legislative advocacy — preparing testimony and getting affected families to the Capitol
Tax Deductibility
Consideration is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an emailed receipt for your records, and we send an acknowledgment letter for gifts of $250 or more.
EIN: 93-4496326
Gifts support Consideration’s charitable programs. The organization retains discretion over the use of all funds.
Other Ways to Give
Give your time. Court watching requires no legal background and we will train you. See Advocacy.
Tell someone. Most families find us because another parent told them we exist.
Speak up. Testimony from people who have lived through the system carries more weight at the Capitol than anything an organization can say.
